Let’s talk about the power source of the solar system —- Solar Panels.

Solar panels are devices that convert solar energy into electrical energy. As the energy industry grows, so does the demand for solar panels.

The most common way to classify is by raw materials, solar panels can be divided into the following types:

- Monocrystalline Solar Panels

This type of solar panel is considered the most efficient.  It is made from a single, pure silicon crystal, which is why it is also called a single-crystalline solar panel.  The efficiency of monocrystalline solar panels ranges from 15% to 22%, which means that they convert up to 22% of the sunlight they receive into electrical energy.

- Polycrystalline Solar Panels

Polycrystalline solar panels are made from multiple silicon crystals, which makes them less efficient than their monocrystalline counterparts.  However, they are cheaper to produce, which makes them more affordable.  Their efficiency ranges from 13% to 16%.

- Bifacial Solar Panels

Bifacial solar panels can produce electricity from both sides.  They have a glass backsheet that allows light to enter from both sides and reach the solar cells.  This design optimizes energy production, making them more efficient than traditional solar panels.

The solar panel is mainly composed of aluminum frame, glass, high permeability EVA, battery, high cut-off EVA, backboard, junction box and other parts. components

Glass

Its function is to protect the main body of power generation.

EVA

It is used to bond and fix toughened glass and power generation body (such as battery). The quality of transparent EVA material directly affects the life of components. EVA exposed to air is easy to age and yellow, thus affecting the transmittance of components and thus affecting the power generation quality of components.

Battery sheet

According to the different preparation technology, the cell can be divided into single crystal cell and polycrystal cell. The internal lattice structure, low light response and conversion efficiency of the two cells are different.

Backboard

Sealed, insulated and waterproof.

At present, the mainstream backboard include TPT, KPE, TPE, KPK, FPE, nylon, and so on. TPT and KPK are the most commonly used backboard. 

Aluminum frame

Protective laminate, play a certain sealing, supporting role

Junction box

Protect the whole power generation system, play the role of current transfer station.
